This book has been written in the spirit of UN General Assembly Resolution dated 23rd December, 1994 that calls upon all social justice groups, human rights advocates, educators and other to increase their involvement in the enhancement of human rights awareness during UN Decade for Human Rights Education (1995-2004)

     The protection of human rights is the concern of all humankind. All 'peoples' of the world, described as such in the UN Charter, have one thing in common, a deep commitment to human rights. In a cicillised world a man lives not by his mere physical existence or by bread alone but by the human existence.

      The book is a treatise covering almost every major aspect of human right. Judicial precedents having direct bearing on various aspects of human rights have been copiously cited to make the things understandable. The bok is divided into three parts-Part a, Part b and Part c, besides, its exhaustive and systematic index and glossary and reference to universlly reconised rules of intepretation at aproriate places are the unique features of this book.
