This popular book has gained an enviable reputation of being an authoritative and standard work on the subject. The new eighth edition encompasses important branches of mercantile law and studies the principles enshrined in them tracing their development through the periodic statutory changes and successive accumulation of judicial case-material.
During the intervening period between the present and preceding editions, the Contract Act, 1872 has been slightly retouched and Section 28 of the Act has been rewritten.
