Arbitration Made Easy - A Practical Guide

Arbitration is being practised in India for long though its form has changed with the specific requirements of times. The new Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 is enacted to suit the era of globalisation. It lays stress on the Principles of Party Autonomy and Minimum Judicial Intervention with an aim of promoting the use of arbitration. Indian Council of Arbitration has been entrusted with this responsibility.In furtherance of this responsibility the Council has come up with a booklet on "Arbitration Made Easy - A Practical Guide", As the name itself suggests, this book is aimed to serve as a practical guide for the person willing to submit his claim to arbitration. It will also be useful for other Participants as it comprehensively deals with various stages of arbitration proceedings and the manner in which these should be conducted along with an overview of Indian Law of Arbitration and Rules of Arbitration and Conciliation of Indian Council of Arbitration.
