This edition has been revised keeping in view to make it more useful and comprehensive to the readers. It will serve not only theoretical but also practical aspects of the book. The commentaries under each section of the statutes have been enriched by incorporation of up-to-date case-laws from the foreign courts and also from the Supreme Court and High Courts of India. Problems arising at different times are dealt with in relevant places with solutions supported by legal materials. To satisfy further the practical aspects of this edition I have included model forms of pleadings and agreements in respect of `Sale of Goods and Hire Purchase` in the appendixes.It is noteworthy to mention that references to Chitty on Contracts in this book in relevant places have been given to both the Thirtieth Edition (Published in 2008) and the Thirty-First Edition (Published in 2012) side by side for the Convenience of readers who have possessed both the said two Editions or have possessed one Edition and not the other.
