National Law School of India Review (NLSIR)

The National Law School of India Review, published by the Student Advocate Committee, is the flagship journal of the National Law School of India University, Bangalore (NLSIU).

Formerly known as the Student Bar Review, the National Law School of India Review is a peer reviewed journal which has grown from strength to strength in recent years. Contributing towards this changing character of the Review from being a voice for student writing in India, to now aspiring towards becoming a vehicle for serious academic legal writing and legal importance.

Goals of the Review:

The mandate of the NLSIR has always been:-

• To encourage legal writing and its readership
• To provide a space for scholarly engagement on vital issues of law and policy,
• To facilitate academic debate on national and international legal practice, and
• To explore issues of contemporary relevance and legal importance.

Key Features

• Bi-annual publication: The National Law School of India Review is published twice annually. The first issue contains articles on different areas of the law, while the second is typically a theme issue, concentrating on a specific area of legal scholarship.
• Supreme Court Citation: NLSIR has also earned the unique honor of being one of the very few Indian journals, and the only student-edited journal to be cited by the Indian Supreme Court
• An array of legal issue covered: The  articles published in the NLSIR encompass a broad range of legal issues, with special emphasis on matters concerning contemporary developments in the Indian legal system.
