The Constitution is the revelation of great purposes which were intended to be achieved by the Constitution as a continuing instrument of Government. It is a comprehensive document dealing with the Legislative, Executive and Judicial limbs of the State, and defines the Fundamental Rights and Duties of the citizen of India.
A complete part (Part VII) consisting of two chapters has been devoted to corrupt practices and electoral offences. Section 123 dealing with corrupt practices, e.g. bribery, undue influence, canvassing on the grounds of religion, race, caste, community or language, etc., is a provision of supreme importance.
The book provides a through knowledge of the various provisions embodied in the "Representation of People Act" as intepreted by the Supreme Court and High Courts and as amended by the Parliament.
