This edition has been thoroughly revised and enlarged. The revising author has tried to project to the reader an overview of the subject and simultaneously also given, an in-depth insider 's view.
Three chapters have been added to give the reader this overview:-
The in-depth study of every aspect of the subject is comprehensively covered by another eight chapters. A detailed study has been made of the various methods and techniques of identifying persons, property, handwriting, fingerprints, footprints and ballistics (including dead bodies, blood stains, poison, adulterants, adulterated food, etc.).
The last chapter i.e. Chapter XII provides `Model cross-examinations of witnesses´. This chapter greatly enhances the practical utility of the book and is written in a functional, workable and widely understood language.
The net result of all these changes has been an increase of over 150 pages in the bulk of the book.
