The is the ninth edition of the book ``The Law of Injunction`` by Shri C. Mallikarjuna Row. The widespread response from advocates and judiciary alike in respect of this book through its previous eight editions had encouraged me to revise and enlarge this ninth edition.
Precedents are stepping stones in decision making in judiciary. As days and years pass on, there is emergence of varied circumstances which necessitates declaration of a plethora of varied precedents by the judiciary thus making the previous edition of a legal treatise obsolete. Addition of a plethora of precedents annually indicates rapid growth of the subject which is in consonance with the demographic changes. Consequently there is a necessity of incorporation of recent precedents in the revised edition in the changed set up. An attempt had been made herein to enrich the previous editions of the book. The information contained in this book has been drawn from authentic sources - mainly national as well as international. Though a plethora of latest precedents had been impregnated succinctly originality of the previous editions had been maintained in order to preserve continuity of the subject.
Each and every chapter of previous edition had been thoroughly revised and enlarged and all available later precedents had been incorporated while very few citations had been eliminated. Besides this, a new chapter namely Chapter 34-Injunctions relating to Debt Relief and Financial Laws had been added consequent to recent developments in the society. In fact this addition had brought out a new facet to the previous edition of the book. All possible efforts have been made to enhance further usefulness of this edition by improving its quality.
