This standard work consolidates the law relating to inquiry and investigation under the Railway Property (Unlawful Possession) Act, 1966, in the light of the important interpretations given by the Hon 'ble Supreme Court and various High Courts of India.
Care has been taken to include important cases. Important Amendments have been made in the recent past to the Railway Protection Force Rules, 1987, with respect to the procedure of recruitment, issue of 'Sick Memo', or 'Sick Certificate', etc., and these have been incorporated at the relevant places.
Guidelines have been laid down, with the help of decided cases, to deal with problem situations during search, arrest, registration of the cases, investigation, inquiry and trial.
The Railway Protection Force, Rules, 1987 have been included. Also relevant extracts have been given from the new Railways Act, 1989. Apart from these, the appendices also contain extracts or full texts of useful allied Acts, Rules and Orders.

Having gone through the entire script, I am of the opinion that the book is a very useful piece of legal literature and fulfils the paramount need of the hour. The very scientific and legal fashion in which the various provisions of the Act have been analysed and explained, makes the book a treat for the legal intelligentsia. I highly commend the book...
